摘要
Since the modern time began, enlightenment has been a project which is full of charming yet never completed under the context of Chinese culture. By describing the situation of human breeding in rural areas in the past 60 years, Mo Yan's newly published full-length novel The Frogs, has broken through his established parameter of creation, deeply exposed the inescapable puzzles come together with enlightenment: the annoying entangledness between the contradicting elements such as group and individual, the national will and individual right, the social custom and humanity.
